All students take online training through SP2 to obtain Certifications in the following areas:

--Mechanical Shop Safety

--Pollution Prevention

The Automotive Tech Program supports and pays for ASE Testing and Certification

Nocti Program completer testing

The Automotive Technology Program has been a pilot test site for the CanDo Competency Reporting System for the past two years.  Instructors input competency achievement data into the online database, and CanDo automatically generates the state-required Student Competency Records (SCR's).

Attached is an example of one SCR in progress, for an Auto II student in this year's class.

While CanDo imports the demographic data for students, the reports are not yet written to disagregate the competency achievement data.  Writing demograhpic reports is an important goal of the CanDo project in coming years.
