Weight Training

Welcome to weight training. This class will cater to both the serious athlete who desires to play sports and the person who is interested in general fitness. In this class you will learn the basics to weightlifting, lifting etiquette, safety rules and how to tone, shape, and strengthen the body.  You will be expected to dress in the required PE clothes and workout everyday.

Policies and Rules of weight room:

Dress in PE uniform everyday.  Shoes must be worn. Be safe, follow rules, use spotters. Record information on your card every time. This will help you know what to lift next time. You will be considered sluffing if you are in the hall without permission.

Do not misuse the equipment.

The following items will drop your grade:

Not dressing in required PE uniform.

More than 3 tardies.

Cheating on tests or your weight card.

Sitting down and not lifting even if you filled out your card.

You must lift until clean up.

Not following instructions.

Sluffing

Excessive warnings on breaking safety rules.

Talking to people in the hall.

Doing any 2 of the above items can result in a "NC" and equals an "F" for citizenship.
