The Potato Project

The Grey Wolves had the first Farm and Garden lesson of the year with Emily.  She introduced the word "POTATO" to them and read a book called The Enormous Potato by Aubrey Davis. We dug potatoes from the garden and put them in storage so that we could use them to make a special dish for the Harvest Party and Grandparents Day.  We also dug some carrots for a snack and picked beautiful sunflowers for our classroom. 

We would like to visit a large potato farm and observe how potatoes are harvested.  If you know of anyone that would be willing to host our group please let us know.
