In this course we talked about several topics about running a music program. It is amazing how many different things are involved behind the scenes in a music program. Attached below is a lesson plan I did as a part of this course. It is based on The Avenger March by Karl L. King. As a part of all my lessons, I try to have a section set apart for professional reflection. While student teaching, we were required to develop a professional improvement plan based on our own existing philosophies and observations that occurred during the semester. This assignment made me thing about my strengths and weaknesses and showed me that it is a lot harder to find strengths when you are a beginning teacher.
