English Language Learners

Introduction to English Language Learners is a course that identifies the core information and knowledge that needs to be put into perspective when serving ELLs. In the class we learned how to create SIOP Lesson plans all the way to applying the information into compiling an ELL profile with a student from our service learning classroom. We began the semester learning the principles that need to be applied to lesson plans when focusing on ELLs and then were able to apply the information and use of language standards into our lessons. This course is important for every education student to take as it is an important aspect of teaching in our futures.

This profile helped to connect the material learned in class and then applied to the actual service learning classroom!
