student affairs topics through interviewing and surveying various student populations.

Lead a group of over 50 students at weekly meetings. Plan events that promote tolerance, diversity and the Jesuit mission of 
the University while drawing over 400 students participants.
 
• Regularly write grant applications in order to secure funding for events while maintaining a budget of over $3,000.
• Responsible for managing and delegating tasks to eight other executive board members and communicating with 
our staff mentor on a regular basis.
• Work with clergy, university administrators and staff, alumni, students and parents, and community partners on 
issues of importance, such as gender-neutral spaces, LGBTQA inclusion and safe-space training.
 
 
President, Highland Park Senior High Student Council; Saint Paul, MN          September 2005 - May 2009
 
Served as treasurer for two years and president for one. Worked with students, staff and administration to ensure that the 
student body’s needs were addressed and that the school was engaged in the local community. 
 
• Successfully raised several thousand dollars annually for charities such as the Muscular Dystrophy Association, 
Invisible Children, the American Cancer Society and local battered women’s shelters. 
• Developed a fair, engaging and democratic procedure for electing student representatives who were previous
