As a Student Representative on the Board of Trustees I meet with the Student Development trustee members at their quarterly meetings and answer questions. Occassionally, I present on a topic of importance and offer opinions on initiatives the Board is thinking of undertaking. During our last meeting I spoke on the importance of keeping non-varsity athletic recreation investment equivalent with all the improvements that have been made to the intercollegiate athletic programs. For future meetings I will interview students, prepare presentations for the Board and report back to the USGA Senate. I am excited to work with my fellow students and make sure that their stories are told to the people who have the power to change our campus. I plan on paying special attention to issues pertaining to student diversity, first generation students and those who are having trouble affording Loyola's tuition rates.
