DUE FRIDAY JANUARY 25th
Assignment:
Create your own fictional money from a country of your choice (NOT the U.S.) using the TABLES tool in Microsoft Word or Google Docs.
A) Front Side/Computer skills – must have:
- Center image that truly represents the country
- Word art
- Number value for the money in each corner (1,5,10 etc.)
- Shaded color
B) Back Side/Chapter 4 terminology. Use www.infoplease.com like we did in class. Be sure and click on Almanac-World for your country in InfoPlease. Be patient with the pop up ads. Hit SKIP THIS AD if an advertisement pops up.
- First fnd the natural resources for your country:
1)The renewable resources are listed under Agriculture. List 5 of them.
2)Then find the nonrenewable resources - these are listed under Natural Resources. List 5 of them.
3)What is the total GDP for your country?
4)What is the GDP per capita? (this is the real indicator of what the standard of living is like in your country)
5)What is the unemplyment rate? (is this worse or better then the U.S. rate of 3.9%?)
6)Look under Labor Force - what percentage of your country works in agriculture?
7)In dollars how much does your country export per year?
8)In dollars how much does your country import per year?
9)Does your country have a positive exhange of goods? List the difference in U.S. dollars.
10 Does your country have a developed or developing economy? Figure this out by looking at the answers above.
