Hobbies

For information on most of my hobbies here at Longwood, please see the Life on Longwood’s Campus tab.

My other hobbies include Reading and playing Video games.  I like to read anything, so if you see a book, I would probably like to read it if I haven't already.  As with books, I will play almost any game—from first person shooters to racing games.  One of my favorite game series are the Borderlands games.  Other than that series, I have played games on Steam.  There are a lot of games I have played, and the number of them is too large to make a list--I don't remember all of them.  One of the most insane games that i have played so far is called Goat Simulator.  It is like Tony Hawk's Pro Skater series with the point system and multiplayer, but other than that, it does not resemble any other game I have ever played.  It is pure chaos in goat form.

The next game I really enjoy playing is called Besieged.  It is a game where you create your own war machine and you have to plan everything out to where it does not fall apart and to where it weighs enough that it is able to move.

Along with games and reading, I like to help instruct Bluestone High School's Drumline over the summer.  During last summer, a friend and I rewrote the whole battery book (drumline music) for the school.  With music being such a big portion of my life, it is something that I like to do to help out the younger kids by showing them that if they do not like the marching music they are given, it can be changed and still sound good.  Below, I have attached a little price I started putting together in my free time.  I started about a year ago and it isn't finished yet.  It is a little mesh of Lost Woods and Song of Storms from the Legend of Zelda games. Directly below, there is a picture of the kids I helped get ready for the 2013 Marching year.  That year, they played a show called Wicked.  It was an assortment of songs from Wicked and The Wizard of Oz.

Those are the hobbies that I spend all of my free time doing, and I wish I had more time to spend doing them.
