What I Love to Do
Bookworm (Lg.)

Writing: short stories, novels, and screenplays

Reading: I read voraciously--books, magazines, journals, the back of bubble-gum wrappers--the Willowtree Library is 60,000-volumes strong and growing virtually every day

Birdwatching: a real passion

Gardening: vegetables, flowers, herbaceous borders, orchard, vineyard

astronomy

pets

languages: French, Latin

cinephile: I LOVE to watch movies

submarines: I began reading books and articles and websites about submarines because of a story I'm writing that is set on one, and ever since I read and watch programs on the subject for the sheer fascination of these incredible war machines

turtles (I am absolutely buggers on the subject, have been since I was a small child and I stared enraptured at the sea turtles at the New England Aquarium in Boston)

photography (I've attached below a few slideshows that feature some of my best photographs--please enjoy.)

File Attachments:
  1. A Day in the Life of Reason A Day in the Life of Reason
These aren't necessarily my best photographs, but this is a fun little "movie" I put together starring my Parson Russell Terrier going through one of his typical days. That's Solace, my late Jack Russell Terrier, with him in the first few photographs.
  2. Sun-Dappled Wonders Sun-Dappled Wonders
Bonnie and Beau, two of our Pomeranians, were sitting at the opened front door one quiet, sunny afternoon, and I was lucky enough to capture the two best friends serenely enjoying each other in this series of photographs.
  3. Willowtree, Dawn to Dusk Willowtree, Dawn to Dusk
In this series of photographs the course of a typical day here in beautiful Central Virginia sweeps across the screen.
