Assignment #1: Photograms

Optimized-FullSizeRender_(1).jpg In this photogram I used pieces of paper and legos to create an interesting composition. The principle of art used most effectively here is the use of line. The two "x's"  at the top of the photogram are used to initiially catch the eye. Then, below the "X's," is the focal point, the man on the bike. Using jagged lines with the wheels attached to the bottom and lego characters going up to the bike, I use lines to draw the eye to the focal point of the photogram, the man on the bike. Another element of art that is used is symmetry. I used this so that my photogram would be pleasing to the eye. If i were to do it again, I would improve the paper lines to make them completely even with eachother. This would make the "x's" more symmetric and give the photogram and all around more "solid" feeling.
