Entrepreneurship is the process of starting a business.  A person who starts a business is called an Entrepreneur.  Entrepreneur's often possess a unique set of characteristics that make them successful:  confidence, forward-thinking, and intelligence.  They have some comfort level with taking risks and are professional problem solvers.  Today, you start your journey as an Entrepreneur.  

Assignment 2:  

  1. SBTV and The Cambridge Satchel Company are two examples of people solving a problem to create a business.  
    • Watch the Jamal Edwards and Julie Deane videos below
    • Answer the SBTV and The Cambridge Satchel Company Questions

Assignment 3: 

  1. Take the Entrepreneurial Personality Profile to see what entrepreneurial characteristics you possess.  DO NOT CLOSE YOUR PROFILE RESULTS WHEN DONE!  YOU NEED THEM FOR THE REFLECTION
  2. Fill out the Entrepreneurial Personality Profile Reflection.

  • Identify characteristics of successful entrepreneurs
  • Describe opportunities and risks of entrepreneurship
  • Identify types and resources of financing for a small business. 
  • Equity and Debt financing
