Presentation:
When scoring your presentation, I will look at the following:
- Body Language - Emphasis on standing tall, using your hands appropriately, and any movement is purposeful.
- Command of the Room - Emphasis on speaking clearly with a strong voice. Good eye contact with audience and sharks. Supreme confidence, even if you have to fake it.
- Preparation and Delivery- Emphasis on making a presentation that is not boring. Deliver the information with passion and pride. Did you an your partner easily transition from one thought to the next.
- Content - Did you include the most important content for this presentation?
- Ability to handle questions: were you prepared for possible questions and answer all questions in a professional manner?
Assignment 1: Presentation Analysis
1. View one Shark Tank scenarios (not the full episode, but one scenario within an episode) and one presentation that is not from Shark Tank. The second presentation can be from Steve Jobs, the "How to Start a Movement" video, or any other presentation that will help you understand what makes a good presentation.
2. Fill out the form below titles Shark Tank Presentation Analysis
Assignment 2: Potential Questions
1. Create a list of possible questions the sharks may ask you in the shark tank. These should be questions that you think the sharks will ask after you have given your presentation. Therefore, they should be specific to your company. You can create this list on a Google Doc.
2. Generate a list of answers to each of these questions.
Assignment 3: Build Your Pitch
1. Build your pitch using the following format
- Introductions
- Name of Business
- Problem Statement and how you solve that problem
- How the product or service works
- Prove there is a market
- Barriers and how you will overcome them
- How will you lead this business
- Growth plan
