​"Welcome to the Shark Tank"....that's how each of the shows begins and it is where you will end in this class.  Your objective for the first part of this quarter is to create a product or service, build a business website for that product or service, and ultimately pitch your company to a group of "sharks".  Guest sharks will include bankers, investors, and business owners who will determine if your business has what it takes to make it in the real world.  

Assignment 1:  Shark Tank Episodes

1. View Shark Tank Episodes:  Toygaroo, Nose Covers
2. Create a problem statement for this scenario.  
   • (Target Audience) needs a way to ______________ because_____________________.  (Company name) solves this problem by ____________________________.
3. Choose 1 of the scenarios and write a paragraph describing the episode using ALL of the following words.  Your paragraph must be short and concise, but still provide enough detail for me to know you understand the meaning of each word in the paragraph.  

• Entrepreneur - someone who starts a business
• Partnership - two or more people with ownership in a company
• Revenue - Total amount of money that comes into the business during a specific time
• Profit - Revenue minus expenses
• Controlling Interest - owns the largest percentage of the company
• Investors - people who exchanges money or resources with the expectation of financial gain
• Equity - A stock or other security respresenting ownership
