Your school's foreign language department has been offered a grant to send you and your classmates to the French speaking country of your choice for a semester. After meeting with the representatives from all French speaking countries of the world you must choose a country.You will be responsible for sharing information about your country when you return.

Now that you have returned, your principal wants you to create a presentation to present to parents and to school evaluators since you are now the expert.

You must now create a PowerPoint presentation about your country.  Your presentation should include but is not limited to the following elements:  Location, Geography, Government, Money, Natural resources, School, Family, Tourist Attractions, History, Music and Food.

Also include your opinion on the country and what you enjoyed the most about your stay.

Once your PowerPoint is done, complete your portfolio entry by

• uploading it to the attachments tab on this page.
• put the URL of the website you used for your information in the weblinks section
• introduce your PowerPoint in the text area and reflect on the job you did. Does your project meet the standards?
• find a picture of your country's flag and upload that to your portfolio. Don't forget to include the URL in Web Links!

  This PowerPoint project was chocked full of learning! I learned to add animations to my PowerPoint. My partner and I learned to work together and we learned to do a class presentation. Everyone seemed to enjoy our presentation about France. We proved that we could communicate in French. We showed that we gained understanding of French culture and we learned about technology while we were doing it. So, we met the standards. First step is to locate your country on line. Click on the Web Links tab, then click on the  country within the region it is located in:

• North America
• South America
• Africa
• Islands
• Europe
• Asia
  

Once you have located your country's name click on that site in order to research your country.

While you are in your country, look for needed information about your country. (Note: Your library/media center may have additional sources such as Encylopedias and country books)You must provide information to convince others that your country is THE country to visit.Your presentation should have a minimum of 10 slides and a maximum of 15 slides. Each slide should be on one of the following topics:

• Title Slide with Country name and name of presenters
• Location
• Geography/History
• Government
• Currency (money)
• Natural Resources
• School
• Family
• Tourist Attractions
• Music (extra credit)
• Food (extra credit for bringing in a sample)
• and something else that you may have found interesting that is not mentioned but is pertinent to your country project
