Life On Campus

I am involved in two organizations here at Longwood those being Information Systems Organization and Theta Chi Fraternity. I joined Theta Chi my spring semester of freshman year, and I joined Information Systems Organization my fall semester junior year when I switched majors from Computer Science to Business Administration.

Theta Chi is a social fraternity here at Longwood, the Iota Lambda chapter was installed here there April 2007. The national chapter was founded in Norwich, Vermont in 1851 at Norwich College. Here at Longwood we host many events including alcohol awareness talks. Our philanthropy is USO which we just started this semester. Many of the men in Theta Chi are leaders on campus, including me.

I am the president of Information Systems Organization as of this semester. ISO is an organization made for those students who wish to learn more about the IT environment. The organization strives to act as a supplemental class. We try to find things that students want to learn more about including computer hardware and if they want to learn more about a specific thing that was talked about in class. We also help our members find job and internship opportunities through speakers that come in to talk to our members and any other student who is looking for either of those opportunities.
