Resolutions

Attached are the 3 most influential pieces of legislation I was part of during the 2012-2013 school year. These acts and resolutions (briefly detailed below) are the most important to me and best highlight my purpose and goals as a USGA senator.

1.     "The Real Food Campus Commitment Act:" I sponsored this legislation to urge Loyola's food vendor (Aramark) to be more transparent with their business practices and allow an RSO to do an in-depth audit of their food ethics.

2.     "The Undocumented Student Act:" I co-sponsored this legislation declaring support and ongoing assistance for undocumented students at Loyola.

3.     "The Reservations to the Implementation of the All-Access Meal Plan:" I co-sponsored this legislation explaining the student body's discontent with the wildly expensive All-Access Meal Plan being forcibly and permanently implemented for the 2013-2014 school year.

The 4th attachment is a personal letter I wrote to Tim McGurimin, Associate Vice President of Business Services. His department is attempting to enforce expensive fees for registered student organizations to use various spaces across Loyola's campus for the 2013-2014 school year. The plan is unethical and the USGA Cabinet expressed our serious discontent through a series of letters and organized protest. The 4 attachments are underneath the blog entry below.
