Hi! :) I'm Vanessa Raney, a Master's of Arts student in Education/Adult Education and Training at University of Phoenix. Although I do not yet have formal experiences teaching, I completed additional training in preparation for college teaching.

For example, in Apr. 2004, I earned a certificate for the Preparing Future Faculty Professional Development Practicum from Claremont Graduate University (CGU). I also completed PFF 520 Course Design in Higher Education (CGU, Summer 2004) and ENG 519 Teaching College Writing (Southern Connecticut State University, Fall 2005).

Because I want to teach in the online environment, I felt it was important to understand more about the population that dominates it, which is adult learners. As I progress through my graduate program, I will gain additional insights and begin to develop teaching methodologies that will allow me to reach students at various levels and experiences.
