Absentee/Late Arrival Policy: Absences

• Students may miss one class without penalty. You must notify the instructor that you will be missing the class (so that no one worries about accidents, etc.). It is your responsibility to have one of your peers take careful notes and obtain any handouts distributed in class. You are responsible for all content covered in the missed class.
• Missing a second class 'costs' 5 points toward the final grade.
• Missing a third class 'costs' 5 points toward the final grade.
• More than three absences and you will need to withdraw from the course as you cannot pass it.

• Late arrivals lead to deduction of 2 points each time. Late arrival is counted once attendance has been completed. Chronic late arrival may lead to request for you to withdraw from the course.
