Jon Klassen's artwork gies glimpses into his work in the past with animation. Jon Klassen worked on several fims over the years. Each film took about three to four years to finish. Some of these films included Coraline and Kung Fu Panda. (Klassen 2013) He was astonished to discover that he was able to illustrate and finish a book in eight months. This gave him the freedom to work on several books at the same time. By working on several books at once, From this book writing experience, he has developed his own style of animal drawings.Each illustration he creates As of yet, Jon Klassen has not written an autobiography. He believes that he does best behind the scenes. His parents have always been very supportive. His books are very personal to him.  Jon Klassen was born the 29th of November 1981 in Winnipeg, Manitoba. He spent much of his childhood playing in the nature that surrounded his family’s home. Jon Klassen always loved stories, however he never he didn't start to draw until he was in the 2nd grade. From his childhood experiences, he gained a sense of wonder for the world that surrounded him and sought to express his perspective on the world.

This medium works best when it’s most suggestive, when it gives us the freedom to walk around and fill in these things on our own. But what’s amazing about this is, given all that freedom to be on our own and make these stories personal to us alone, we end up meeting each other anyway. We can’t help it, and there’s something hugely hopeful about that.
