It is crucial to teach our future students about the importance of diversity. The Cultural Diversity course is required for all education majors at Chandler-Gilbert Community College. A total of twenty hours of service learning in a title one school is also mandatory. Throughout this course I have learned about different cultures and values by doing presentations and by taking thorough notes on several guest speakers that came into the classroom. By knowing about each student’s culture, will allow me to communicate greater with both the students and their parents.
