Graduation and Credential Recommendation for CA State Specific Teacher Preparation Programs

Credential Requirements

After you have entered "graduated" status with the University,  in order to be recommended for your credential you must have the following items on file with the University (you may submit them at anytime during student teaching or following graduation to the California Credential Analyst):
 

 - CPR certification submitted and verified by the University (Must be adult, child and infant and must follow American Red Cross or American Heart Association guidelines. 

- Proof of US Constitution verified by the University (If this has not been met from prior coursework, then you can meet this requirement by taking an online CTE course at University of Phoenix or by taking an exam: www.usconstitutionexam.com 

- Passing RICA scores (For Multiple Subject Credential Candidates only)

- Credential application

-(EDTPA students): Provide a Passing score report on the EDTPA to the Credential Analyst

-Completed Individual Development Plan and Exit Survey submitted to your assigned Education Program Specialist. 

Please contact your Education Program Specialist and the University Credential analyst about applying for your Credential Recommendation when you feel you have all the above required materials.
