At the end of the semester, you must submit a revised version of your Project #1 Summary Report as a sample of your best work in the course. A submission that meets the criteria for a grade of B- or above is required to receive a grade in the course.
Project #1 Summary Report instructions:
After completing the first Building Blocks project in its entirety, you will summarize your findings in writing, including at least a paragraph about each of the following topics:
-
A description of the classroom environment and the way your child participates in the classroom (i.e., in what activities and for how long), including areas of concern
-
Appropriate learning objectives (from the IFSP/IEP, curriculum checklist, and/or your observations) and classroom activities in which specific objectives can be taught
-
Your initial selected objective, why this is an important objective, your plans for adapting instruction related to that objective, and the results of the implementation of the plan
-
Your revised plan:
-
If a revision of the previous plan, a description of why you made the changes you did and the results of the new approach
-
If a totally new plan, a description of the new objective selected, why it is an important objective, the plan for adapting instruction, and the results of the implementation of the plan
-
Your overall assessment of how the child responded to your interventions. Did the child meet his/her target objectives? Did you see the child generalize this skill to other activities? Give specific evidence from your notes and observations.
-
Recommendations for future instruction, including whether the targeted objective(s) should be continued as is, revised, or recorded as accomplished.
