This lesson that I have created is a lesson for sixth graders about biomes and environments. This lesson engages the students with a non-fiction book about biomes and environments. To allow the students to explore prior to the lesson the teachers takest the students on an adventure to explore the environment outside of their school. During this lesson the teacher explains the differents aspects and types of biomes and environments that exist. This lesson is expanded into a creative project for students to research and build their own biome to display in the classroom. Students will be formally assessed on the 3-dimensional biomes that they created on their understanding and representation on their particular biome. This lesson is a fun and interactive way to teach students about biomes and environments.
