Teachers, parents and students all play a significant role in the students' education. Teachers need to provide parents and guardians with information on what their child is learning doing in the classroom. It is also important for teachers to invite parents to play that role in the students life. Informing the family on what the students is learning and inviting them into the classroom helps create the needed relationship between parents and teachers. By using parent letters, flyer or blogs it allows families to know what their child is learning.

Letter to Parents

Hello Blackboard (Lg.)

I have created a letter that I would send out to the parents and guardians of my student at the beginning of the school year. This letter includes my educational autobiography, myself as an educator, what my classroom and teaching styles are like and my contact information. I find it very important for parents and guardians to have a relationship with their child's teacher. As a future educator I realize how important it is for the student's families to play a significant role in their child's education.

Informational Flyer

Notepad (Lg.)

Using a flyer template in Microsoft Word, I have created a flyer for a fifth grade classroom. This flyer was created for a fifth grade classroom's end of the year celebration. This flyer includes the date of the party and the teachers email. The flyer is colorful, informational and was extremely simple to create. Using flyers helps the students and their families understand what is happening in the classroom. This flyer was for the end of the year celebration but teachers and students can use flyers for many other educational and non-educational opportunities.
