Cabrini University's Teacher Education Department Scholarship was established to support students with the costs for the teaching exams in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. An application process is necessary for the awarding of these monies. Applicants must demonstrate financial need, as determined by the Office of Financial Aid. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis and should be returned to Dr. Martha Ritter via email at mjr399@cabrini.edu. 

You can also apply directly to ETS for financial help with the Praxis CORE and to the Pennsylvania Department of Education for assistance with the fee for the PAPA.  Both applications can be found below. 

PECT FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE VOUCHERS

Through the PECT Financial Assistance Voucher, a fee waiver may be available to PECT candidates who are:

• • currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program, and
• • currently receiving financial aid.

If a candidate meets both of the above criteria, and wishes to be considered for a fee waiver, she/he must complete and submit the PECT Fee Waiver Request Form before registering to test. The PECT Fee Waiver Request Form can be accessed via the link below:

Once the form has been completed and submitted by mail, Evaluation Systems will contact the candidate regarding the resolution of their request (usually within 3 weeks). If the fee waiver request is approved, the candidate will receive further instruction on how to register at that time.

Requests are processed on a first-come, first-served basis. A candidate may only receive one fee waiver per year.
