Teacher's Classroom Webpage Rationale

Context: While making my Teacher's Classroom Webpage I have gone through many processes as well as various programs to make this the best webpage it can possibly be. First of all, I have used Firefox to get to Taskstream.com to actually make the webpage. I also used Firefox so that I could use various search engines such as Yahoo! and Google to look up websites for the students and the parents. I used Microsoft Publisher to make the calendars that can be found on the webpage.

Impact: This would be very useful in an actual classroom. There are links for the students to do their homework. some other fun educational sites, as well as pages for the parents and calendars of important things going on in the school. There are cute little pictures taken of the students while they are in the classroom, so it gives the parents a feel of the atmosphere that the teacher creates.

Alignment:

• NETS-T II-E: I have met this standard by having this webpage because my students are learning in  a technology enhanced environment whenever they use the homework and fun links.

• NETS-T II-C: I have met this standard because I have gone through and found appropriate websites to help my students if they struggle while they are working on homework, or even if they just need a little be of extra help while they are at home.

• NETS-T V-A:  I have made this webpage and as I continue throughout my teaching career my knowledge of technology will continue to grow, and my webpage for myself as well as my employers, students, and parents will continue to develop.

• NETS-T VI-A: I have modeled ethical practice by sighting sources where students can go to find help and also have fun during their free time instead of just claiming them as my own.

• NETS-T VI-C: I have met this standard by having a wide variety of websites for different students to work with.

• NETS-T IV-B:  I have met this standard by having the homework help page because if I were an actual teacher I would have the capability to see what my students needed more instructional help with, and then these sites would be what would help them.

• NETS-T II-B:  I have met this standard by having the homework help section as well as the fun links section of my webpage.  Students are given extra help while working with and gaining knowledge of technology.

• NETS-T V-B: I have met this standard by evaluating what my students needed help with.  I would be able to change my lesson plans as well as my Homework Help sections of my website.
