Scholar Background

I am a senior English major, with minors in Women's & Gender Studies, and Writing for Film, Television, & Emerging Media. I have always had a passion for literature, and I frequently find myself drawn to young adult literature. After completing my Bachelor's degree at Ithaca College, I intend to pursue a Master's degree in children's and young adult literature.

I am a self-proclaimed nerd, with a love for books, graphic novels, video games, and science fiction, fantasy, and comic book movies. I write about these and other topics related to nerd culture, popular culture, and feminism on my personal blog, and on my YouTube channel, where I collaborate with five other young women, ages 16 to 25. My love of popular culture has deeply influenced my academic career, as has my passion for feminism.
