I have been fortunate to have many wonderful educational opportunities. I graduated cum laude with honors from Dartmouth College in 2004 where I completed a liberal arts program and recevied my Bachelors in Environmental Studies. At Dartmouth, I was a Presidential Scholar, Co-Captain of the Division I golf team (where I received Academic All Ivy Honors), and an Undergraduate Advisor. As a scholar athlete who worked my way through College, I was able to hone and refine a number of important skills and characteristics that I share with my students to this day, including time management, goal setting and planning, integrity, and determination.
After working in the private sector at environmental/economic consulting firm, I decided to head back to school because of my passion for teaching and learning. In 2007 I earned a Masters of Science in Resource Administration and Management and in 2011, a Doctorate of Philosophy in Natural Resources & Environmental Studies (minor in College Teaching) from the University of New Hampshire. I have taken additional courses through Harvard's Extension School and completed a certificate in Sustainability Leadership from Ithaca College in 2012. Also, during 2012 I completed a year long program in the National Environmental Leadership Program and am currently a Senior Fellow in the program.
