I am delighted you want to know about me… I sincerely hope I don’t bore you!
I was born and raised in Manhattan, but currently live in Stamford, CT with my daughter, Madeline. I attended Binghamton University and received my BA degree in Literature & Rhetoric in 1996. Thereafter, I worked at a major sports management firm as the Sr. Manager of International Sales & Programming. Working in this high profile industry was a rewarding career and the perks of the business had me rubbing elbows with sports legends, Muhammad Ali and Derek Jeter. I was also fortunate to represent clients such as NASCAR and the NCAA, as well as have the opportunity to befriend many fine colleagues all around the world. However, after nine years of the corporate America lifestyle, I decided to pursue a career that would bring me face to face with the future leaders and decision-makers of our world.... TEACHING! That may sound cliché, but it’s the truth. So, in 2003 I enrolled in the Neag School of Education at UCONN to obtain a Master’s degree in Education... the rest is history.
Now you know a bit about who I am and why I’m here at Fox Lane. I simply adore literature and LOVE teaching! I believe that communication (both written and oral) is the cornerstone of our democracy. Thus, it is my hope that through honing these vital skills, my students will come to know just how important their voices are to our community and to the world at large. J
