Reflection

Loyola's promise, "to prepare people to live extraordinary lives," aligns well with my personal and professional pursuits. A friend once said to me, "go for it, this isn't a dress rehearsal, what are you waiting for?" I'll never forget that.  Nor do I want my students, advisees, mentees, or staff to forget that simple truth; LIVE YOUR LIFE.

Living an extraordinary life is possible yet subjective.  If I'm mindful about the source or the origin of my dreams, goals, and actions, I'll experience that feeling of extraordinary.  The moment I disconnect and begin to move without clarity, I lose that connection to my true interests and goals.  To me, mindfulness is the key to any type of transformation.
