PDF Flier

Welcome to the PDF Flier section of my portfolio.

I worked independently in creating the attached PDF file. The file I created could help spread awareness to children and their families in every grade level. The flier is promoting the organization entitled Up ‘Til Dawn, which works to raise funds in support of St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.

With help from their teacher, parent, or caregiver, young students will be able to interpret the flier’s meaning and enhance their literacy skills in reading, listening, and speaking. In viewing this media project, students will be able to speak on behalf of the organization to help promote the group and their cause, which will lead to increased awareness and support.

In a classroom setting this media project could be used to first reach the students, then their families and community, and so on. Spreading awareness about this local organization would increase participation in meetings, as well as support the organization’s cause.

The PDF flier deals mainly with the subject of health education and is relevant to students of all cultural backgrounds, so every student may be actively engaged in viewing the flier. As an assessment of the flier, students and their families may actively participate in the organization by going to meetings, or students may choose to write letters to children who are hospitalized as a means to show support directly.

Please take some time to view the attached PDF Flier.
