Hardware Evaluation:
The hardware evaluation gave us the opportunity to review commercially designed hardware that dealt speciifically with our career choice. This assignment gave me the opportunity to evaluate the different items that could be used in the sports marketing field. Included in my evaluation was the iMac computer and the usages it provides in the marketing field. Its a technologically savvy device that enables marketers in sports to use multiple venues to create marketing products.
Software Evaluation:
This assignment gave us the opportunity to review commercially available software in our discipline. I was able to evaluate different software that can be helpful for marketers in the sport industry. I chose to assess Adobe Photoshop because I plan on entering graphic design in the marketing arena. It enables marketers to create products to help promote sports and produce ingame signage for specific events.
FAMU Baseball Inventory Spreadsheet:
I created a FAMU Baseball Equipment Inventory spreadsheet which included calculated information in dollar amounts that could be altered depending on the equipment needed for the particular athletic season. This enabled me to utilize my skills in creating products in excel for specific sporting events.
FAMU Baseball Marketing Poster:
We were to design and produce a one-page document to advertise an event or provide information to students or parents. With previous experience with baseball, I chose to create a Baseball Poster for the 2009 FAMU Rattlers season. I was able to use Adobe Photoshop in order to construct this product. I was able to utilize my creative skills learned in previous internship opportunities and hope to continue building this experience for my future career goals in sports marketing
Seminole ISP Sports Network:
This assignment was exciting because I was able to use my creative skills in the marketing field. We were asked to create an electronic presentation in our specified career. I was given the opportunity to intern with Seminole ISP Sports Network which is a marketing firm for the Florida State University Athletic Department.
Flash Mob:
The most thrilling assignment that our group of classmates created was the FAMU Recreation Flash Mob. As a whole, we created a plan for a flash mob and began to recruit many students to help with this project. The goal of this mission was to create a flash mob in public place and successfully video record it and make it available on the world wide web via social medias (Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, etc.). The objective was simple: to show that if you have organization and structure, you can succeed in anything.
