The three lesson plans are written in the "Understanding by Design" style with the learning styles highlighted on the second page. Other documents that the student would use are also attached.

Artifact 16 - adaptive technology in use, if any

Adaptive Technology

 

There is no adaptive technology permanently in the animal science area. We do facilitate the use of adaptive technology that is assigned to individual students who take the class or visit such as augmentative communication devices and adaptive hearing devices. We also assign animals to students with disabilities according to their individual skills and abilities.

    This file shows the original animal care record sheet and the modifications made to the sheet for a special education student. Two animals are shown as examples.

    This is the basic lesson plan for the year long animal care unit. Students are assigned an animal for 2 weeks and are responsible for the maintenance of that animal.
