Indicator 11c

11c. The program solicits learner feedback to improve the program.

Artifact 82 - explain how feedback from students/graduates is attained & used for prog. improvement

Time permitting, all students are given the opportunity to complete the end-of course survey, which is attached.  We look at the results and use it to address program improvement.  This survey is anonymous and is intended to be completed by all students. This year we have created a "Survey Monkey" online survey for our students to take mid-year to help us improve. Since Survey Monkey does the calculations automatically, this change should save us time and make analysis of the data easier.

Our process for obtaining feedback from students that have graduated is less efficient in reaching all students.  It is given to students who come back to visit and/or otherwise make contact with us.  Only surveying the returning graduates is likely to skew results somewhat since it is not a comprehensive nor random sampling of all students completing the animal science courses.   We are considering using Facebook to create a group for former students and are waiting for approval from the county.

As a program, we analyze the surveys, discuss the data and when applicable use the information to guide future program changes.
