5b. There is evidence of support from leaders from within the organization.

Artifact 32 - letters of support from school/division leaders

The Arlington Career Center (ACC) staff nominated and then elected Scott Lockhart as ACC's Teacher of the Year for 2009.  The letter written by Sue Klett was in support of Mr. Lockhart as the 2009 Teacher of the Year for Arlington County.

Cindy Schall was asked to represent Arlington Public School (APS) science teachers at the post secondary level as an expert panel member.  This letter indicates what an excellent panelist and science teacher she is.  It is written to the APS Science Supervisor to inform her of Cindy's contribution.

The Animal Science teachers act as advisors to the FFA club every year.  The ACC Principal wrote a letter to recognize the outstanding achievements of this club's members and advisors.

Artifact 33 - awards/recognitions from school/division

The Animal Science Program was evaluated by the County and found to be Exemplary. The program was nominated for the Creating Excellence Awards and was awarded a Certificate of Recognition. Scott Lockhart was nominated by his colleagues to represent the Arlington Career Center as the Teacher of the Year.
