Artifact 87 - document presentations about program for other groups

The Animal Science Department has a long history of going to various places to talk about animals in general and the program specifically as well as allowing groups to visit our lab. Last year the program advertised the visits to all of the Arlington schools. As a result of the promotion, the program reached over 1,500 students in over 60 classes in the district. As mentioned previously, the program has also participated in the Teddy Roosevelt birthday celebration hosted by the National Park Service for many years. Students show visitors our animals that are similar to indigenous animals.
