Students explored linear functions by utilizing Samsung Galaxy Tablets and Desmos, a free graphing website.  To direct their exploration, students used a guided worksheet, Exploring Linear Functions.  The worksheet prompted students to record their observations and practice representing linear functions in different forms.  In Desmos, the students entered the slope-intercept form of a linear function, y = mx+b.  They inserted “sliders” for  m and b .  These sliders were a tool which allowed the students to change the values for the slope and y-intercept and observe the effect of each parameter.
