Dear Mr. Principal,

Don’t let our name fool you!!  We are out to Make A Difference.  We are an organization whose mission it is to help our local and global communities in various ways.  We will have guest speakers who motivate us to be responsible citizens and it is our desire to go out into the community to do service work.  We believe that everyone has a responsibility to contribute something to our world be it local or global.  With issues like AIDS, poverty, abuse, teen pregnancy, and homelessness, just to name a few, there are multiple ways that we can help.  We believe that Make a Difference Day should not be limited to one Saturday in October, but rather it should be a way of life.

Please understand that we are not in this for ourselves.  We understand that by giving to others we are giving to ourselves but that is not the focus.  In today’s world there are too many people who live without purpose and we want to have an extra-curricular activity that will help us grow into responsible, civically minded, young adults.  While our focus is on helping others, we hope that you can see what a benefit it will be to us as we are developing through these difficult adolescent years.   We will have the opportunity to be exposed to the real world which can only help us to make better choices later.  By being part of an organization, we are forming bonds of friendship that will last many years. Our participation in social issues at this early age helps us to be life long community activists.

Please take time to review our extensive list of planned activities and events.  We would like to hear your ideas and look forward to your support.

Thank you
