I was fortunate to explore many aspects of literature through my children's literature class. I created two read aloud lesson plans that I presented during my service learning time. This was a wonderful opportunity that helped me to realize how rewarding it is to create and deliver a read aloud. I also created many artifacts that I will be able to take with me and use in my future classroom. I especially enjoyed creating my classroom floor plan, because I was able to visualize the literature aspects that I want to have in my classroom. The exploration of multicultural literature, children's authors, lesson plan building and service learning has made me a more conscientious future teacher.
