I have developed a special interest group for adolescent age students.  The group that I created is a social awareness group that focuses on local and global issues.  It is my intention to offer junior high school students an opportunity to become actively involved in issues that affect everyone on a daily basis.  By raising awareness among students regarding issues like teen pregnancy, AIDS, and abusive relationships, I believe students have a better opportunity to combat these issues in their own lives.
