Story Pictures Rationale

Context: 

This Story Picture Assignment was created in the Spring semester of 2008.  The assignment was for the class Media and Technology (CI3750) through Appalachian State University's Off Campus Program at the Hickory Metro Higher Education Center in Catawba County.  Our professor for this class was Jeff Goodman, who gave me lots of useful information on how to incorporate technology into my classroom.

Impact: 

This assignment was a useful tool to create a lesson plan that I can use in my classroom in the future.  The technology in this lesson incorporates using a digital camera, working with a word document, as well as creative writing.

I met this standard in this assignment by including modifications in the lesson plan for teaching students who are younger or older, and students who are in EC or ESL.

I met this standard in this assignment by showing that teachers could have their students use email to submit this assignment.

I met this standard in this assignment by including a rubric that has a way to evaluate the student's application of technology.

I met this standard in this assignment by including a reminder for the teacher to have students stretch and move around while doing their computer work.
