Knowledge of learning theories is crucial since everyone has them. The ability to recognize the theories upon which one bases his instruction can be a determining factor in the effectiveness of content delivery and planning (Webb, Metha & Jordan, 2010). The artifact attached was created in CI 6316: Learning Theories. For this assignment, I went and observed a teacher presenting lessons to her students, while trying to identify learning theories within them. It was very interesting. Some of them really popped out, while others were more difficult to spot, or simply weren't as strong. Noting these differences immediately made my mind try to think of ways to make the various theories stronger in their presentation. It is important to know the theories one is attempting to apply in order to make sure they reach their full potential and have their effectiveness maximized.
