Context: This assignment was completed during my Student Teaching Field Experience (CI4900) during fall 2009. It was completed under the advisement of Norman Crotts (ASU) and Vicky Watson (Newton-Conover Middle School).

Impact: These lesson plans were practiced daily. They focus on the proper way to use hand sanitizer, washing hands, and killing germs. There are several activities for the student to complete.

Standard 5:

Indicators 1 and 2: These indicators were met through my student teaching experience. Students were taught how to properly use hand sanitizer and how to wash their hands to control germs that cause major illnesses in kids. Students were made aware of the different diseases that germs cause and how important it is to wash or sanitize their hands before eating or after coughing/sneezing.

Standard 13:

This standard was met through my student teaching assignment. Students practiced washing and sanitizing their hands daily to prevent the spread of infectious diseases.
