Michael J. Sherman Biography

Born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio, I left after graduation at the age of 18 and began a 21 year career in the United States Navy. My initial training was in nuclear propulsion engineering. Even though my first sea duty assignment was scheduled for only three years, I fell in love with traveling the seas and extended my sea tour twice, for a total of 8 years at sea. I have visited 22 countries and traveled all of the world’s oceans.

I married and was blessed with a daughter in 1990. One year later I decided that shore duty would be a welcomed changed. I have been stationed on the east and west coasts of the United States from Washington to California, and Florida to Delaware. Evidently, any more than what I just gave up is considered too much information.
