The first eight weeks of the educational administration internship program focused on ISLLC Standards 1 – 3, and provided the author time to reflect on his personal growth within these standards. All three standards center on the student as learner. The program was engaging, active, and thoroughly joyful for this author. Several new, positive relationships have been built with school personnel due to assignments to fulfill the practicum hours. This author is looking forward to completing the final eight weeks of the program.
This paper contains an analysis of the Training and Educational Leader Self Assessment (TELSA), as well as a secondary personality study as recommended by the text. These assessments were utilized to build an internship plan, also attached. When this plan is complete, my goal is to have some practical experience in all six of the ISLLC standards.
The self-analysis and development of the internship plan meet Arizona Standard One, which specifies that an administrator facilitates the development, articulation, implementation, and management of an organization's mission, and Arizona Standard Five, which specifies an administrator advocates and supports curricular and instructional programs which promote the success of students.
Mid-term. Attached is an evaluation of my ability to effectively use and understand ISLLC Standards 1-3. Standard One includes an understanding of the need, development, and sharing of a vision. Standard Two develops an understanding of school culture, curriculum development and professional growth. Standard Three is focused on safe, efficient, and effective management of the school learning environment to ensure student success.
Attached is the Summative Evaluation of Standards 1-3 developed in conjunction with my mentor.
Attached are the hours logged for the first eight weeks of the educational administrative internship program.
Attached are three different problem-solving case studies from the first eight weeks of the educational adminitrative internship program. The problems include strategic planning, addressing dysfunctional thinking, and observing the differences between individual and group behavior.
