Students' Work

In this section is a brief assortment of student work that met and did not meet. The first two slides are of a formative assessment that was given at the beginning of class. The first example meets because this student shows all of his work. The process of how he calculated his answers is clear. The second example does not meet, because although the answers are correct, there is no clear process of how this student solved this problem. The students were not graded on this, but rather I just wanted to check to see of they understood how to do this problem before I moved on with the lesson. The student who did not meet, failed to follow the directions of showing all work.

The next two slides are of a post assessment that met all of the learning objectives. Although this student received a score of 1 on question 1, she answered question 2 and received a score of 3. These cover the same learning objective, so I determined that she met the objective.

The last two slides are of a post assessment that did not meet all of the learning objectives. Some of the objectives were clearly met with a score of 2 or better, but some were not. This student especially struggled with questions 6 and 7 which were based on the objective of solving for a missing piece of a linear equation.
