Research Interests

My research interests focus on Catholic schools established in the southern United States for African American students from the late nineteenth century and into the twentieth century.  Additionally, my research examines the nuns, students, and other community members who became involved in these schools.  I incorporate traditional archival research and oral history methods within my research framework.
