Since my original portfolio information from TEC510 was lost, I have included another project which includes a rubric. The file includes a project based learning module for a geometry unit for grade 8 that meets Ohio standards. Because it is project based, it includes learning experiences that are based on principles of effective instruction. In addition, the unit includes several group projects to motivate and engage students in the learning process. The evaluation rubric at the end of the file will be utilized to assess student learning.

The curriculum map was designed to meet Ohio curriculum standards for eighth grade pre-algebra students. Due to the project-based learning instructional design, this curriculum helps students link past knowledge to new concepts and keep them engaged in learning. Wtih frequent observations and work samples, the curriculum is designed to be adjusted to meet student diversity as well as adjusted to their level of progress.
