What is a browser? Does it matter which one I use for accessing TaskStream?
Your browser (such as Internet Explorer or Firefox) is a computer application that allows you to access and view various web sites on the Internet. TaskStream is a highly dynamic environment that responds slightly differently to each browser.

How can I tell which browser version I have?
Depending on your browser and platform (PC/MAC), follow the directions below.
To find out which version of Microsoft Internet Explorer is being used on a PC:
Open Internet Explorer
Click "Help" on the tool bar
Click "About Internet Explorer"
A new window named "About Internet Explorer" will pop up that indicates which version of Internet Explorer is being used
To find out which version of Mozilla Firefox is being used on a PC:
Open Firefox
Click "Help" on the tool bar
Click "About Mozilla Firefox"
A new window will pop up that indicates which version of Firefox is being used
To find out which version of America Online (AOL) is being used on a PC:
Open AOL
Click "Help" on the tool bar
Click "About America Online"
A new window will pop up that indicates which version of AOL is being used
To find out which version of Google Chrome is being used on a PC:
Open Chrome
Click "Customize and Control Google Chrome" on the tool bar
Click "About Google Chrome"
A new window will pop up that indicates which version of Chrome is being used
To find out which version of Apple Safari is being used:
Click "Safari" on the menu bar
Click "About Safari"
A new window will pop up that indicates which version of Safari is being used
To find out which version of Mozilla Firefox is being used on a Mac:
Open Firefox
Click "Help" on the tool bar
Click "About Firefox"
A new window will pop up that indicates which version of Firefox is being used
What if my browser shows a message that says I need JavaScript?
TaskStream uses JavaScript to enhance the interactivity and functionality of our site. Your Web browser comes with JavaScript capability. If you have received this message, it means that your browser's JavaScript feature has been disabled. You will have to manually enable this feature and restart your browser. Depending on your browser, follow the directions below.
Microsoft Internet Explorer 6+
Click "Tools" on the menu bar
Click "Internet Options"
Click the "Security" tab
Click "Custom Level" button
Look for "Scripting Category"
Choose “Enable” option
Click OK
Mozilla Firefox 1.5+
Click "Tools" on the menu bar
Click "Options"
Click the "Content" icon
Check "Enable JavaScript" option
Google Chrome
Google Chrome has Javascript enabled by default, and does not currently support in-browser functionality to disable it.
Apple Safari 1.3+
Click "Safari" on the menu bar
Click "Preferences"
Click the "Security" tab
Click "Enable Java" and "Enable JavaScript" option
This issue may also be caused by certain security software. You may need to disable or adjust your preferences on your computer while working in TaskStream.
